Dr. Aleksandar (Sasha) Tomic is Assistant Dean for Strategy, Innovation, and Technology and Program Director of Master of Science in Applied Economics at the Boston College. He studies topics such as the European Monetary Union, the behavior of political agents, the racial disparities in policing and sentencing, and the impact of college athletics on universities reputation. Dr. Tomic has managed and participated in Eurostat (statistical office of the EU) sponsored, complex, multi-year, multinational projects in economic statistics, business cycle forecasting, and macro-econometrics. He is a frequent lecturer and commentator on economic issues such as moves in commodity and financial markets, effects of economic policies, and local/regional/national/international economic outlook.
