The following student checklists have been compiled for the convenience of new and returning students. Students should review the items relevant to their cohort before the start of each semester.
First-year undergraduate students and transfer undergraduate students, in particular, should access the linked resources below before arriving on campus. For additional information about orientation or advising, contact the Office of First Year Experience or the Academic Advising Center, respectively.
First-Year Undergraduate Day Students Checklist
The Office of Student Services would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your family!
There are a number of things you need to do now that you have matriculated. Begin by logging into the Agora Portal to complete the services listed below. Note: These services are only available to deposited first-year students unless otherwise noted.
Pre-August Checklist
- Upload your photograph for your Eagle One Card
- Update your addresses, phone numbers, and emergency contacts
- Set your Privacy Preferences
- View or update your race/ethnicity information
- Sign up for a payment plan (if applicable); more information is available at dos5.net/qppp
- Authorize your Third-Party Payer(s) through My Bill
Note: You will need to log into the Agora Portal and select My Bill for this service - Waive the mandatory Medical Insurance, if applicable. Visit the Agora Portal, and select "Medical Insurance Waiver" under the "Account and Personal Info" section. The waiver will be available by mid-June.
- Check the status of your financial aid application at dos5.net/finaidapp
- Complete the mandatory Health History and Immunization Forms
- Review/Add Optional Eagle One accounts
- Review the Title IV Federal Financial Aid Funds requirements and submit your Federal Funds Authorization
- Please be sure to review the University Catalog for important information regarding the University's Policies and Procedures.
- Enroll in direct deposit for student account refunds (if applicable). We recommend that all students use direct deposit when requesting refunds. Refunds processed via direct deposit are faster and do not require pickup. Visit dos5.net/refund for instructions and more information.

Returning Undergraduate Day Students Checklist

- If your ID is lost or stolen, deactivate it and request a replacement ID
- View and update your address, phone number, and emergency contact
- Check your class schedule and classroom assignment
- Review and pay any balances remaining on your My Bill account
Note: You will need to log into the Agora Portal and select My Bill for this service - Review the Title IV Federal Financial Aid Funds requirements and submit your Federal Funds Authorization

- Bring your original documents for Student Employment with you to school in the fall.

Massachusetts requires all students to have their own health insurance or to use the school-sponsored insurance. If you do not have insurance, we can assist you. If you do have insurance, we need your insurance information so the state does not require you to use BC's student insurance. Please complete this medical insurance form by June 14. Note that you will need to be logged in to your BC Google (Gmail) account to access this form: http://forms.gle/k1R4G4p7UcQAouQQ6 - Visit your Admitted Student portal to register for Orientation and to fill out the Housing Application
- If you have a diagnosed medical, physical, psychological, or learning disability that may require accommodations, please complete the Registration Form and submit documentation. You may email disabsrv@dos5.net with questions regarding the process

Incoming Graduate Students and Woods College Students Checklist
Welcome to Boston College!
There are a number of things you need to do now that you have matriculated. Note: You will need to log into the Agora Portal to complete the services listed below (unless otherwise noted). Please complete the following items before classes begin.
- Set Your Privacy Preferences
- Apply for an Eagle One (ID) Card
All new students are required to have and will be charged for an ID card.
- Order a Parking Permit
Read the Student Parking Permit Instructions on the Transportation website. You may order your parking permit by logging into Agora Portal and selecting "Parking Permits and Citations."
Fall and academic year parking permits can be ordered starting on July 8. Please make sure that you are ordering permits for the year 2025, not 2024. - Purchase an MBTA pass
- Consult Tuition and Fees
- Review and pay any balances remaining on your My Bill account

- Enroll in the QuikPAY Payment Plan
- Authorize your Third-Party Payer through My Bill

- Sign up for direct deposit of your student account refund
- Waive mandatory medical insurance, if applicable. Waivers for the academic year will be available in mid-June. You do not need to waive insurance for the summer semester. Information regarding the plan summary, including costs, is available on the Medical Insurance web page. Visit the Agora Portal and select "Medical Insurance Waiver" under the "Account and Personal Info" section.

- Complete the mandatory Immunization Forms
- In compliance with Massachusetts law, all incoming graduate students are required to complete an online module on Title IX sexual misconduct. The instructions and deadline for completion of this module will be sent by the University to your BC email.
- Review information about off-campus housing
- Learn more about your BC Gmail account
- Update your addresses, phone numbers, and emergency contacts
- View or update your race/ethnicity information
- Note veteran status on the University Information System (optional/if applicable)

Welcome to Boston College Law School!
There are a number of things you need to do now that you have matriculated. Note: You will need to log into the Agora Portal to complete the services listed below (unless otherwise noted). Please complete the following items before classes begin.

- Sign up for direct deposit of your student account refund/request a student account refund.
- Request enrollment certification letter
If you need an enrollment certification for deferment of a student loan, mail the forms to the Office of Student Services, Lyons Hall, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467 or stop by Lyons Hall. Your deferment form will be forwarded to the National Student Clearinghouse. If the enrollment certification does not require an official school seal or signature, you may process the certification through the Agora Portal.
- Final Transcripts
If you have not already done so, have your under/graduate institution(s) send your final official transcript(s) to the Law School Admission Council (LSAC). - Waive mandatory medical insurance, if applicable. Visit the Agora Portal and select "Medical Insurance Waiver" under the "Account and Personal Info" section. The waiver will be available by mid-June. Information regarding the plan summary, including costs, is available on the Medical Insurance web page.
